survival horror

16-09-2005
9pm
I left my wallet outside council room and went into council room for an hour.

10pm
I came out and the wallet was stolen.
That was the point where my survival story started. Let's see the list of things inside my wallet:
Subject: Black Columbia Wallet
Content:
around $100
coins
ez-link card
library card
photocopying card
house keys
locker key (magnet)
cashcard
match support card
Above all, the owner of this wallet is alone in Singapore. Now I am really dead. I feel like someone stranded in the middle of nowhere. No money. No transportation. No idea.
First step to salvage the situation is to report this incident and erase the activities of my ez-link card and library card, before the thief abuse my rights.

10.15pm
I reported at the guard house and made my statements. Got scolded a bit by the guards (bloody hell). I asked for viewing of the surveillance tapes to catch the culprit and was told the surveillance camera was spoilt that day. (Great. No wonder all the gate climbers were not caught that day) I asked for the nearest police post and headed straight there.

10.45pm
Bishan neighborhood police post is just not around the neighborhood. There are no branch posts near RJC. Only the main branch at Bishan st 23, facing Catholic High, separated by a vast green field by the way. I made my statements to a friendly officier and it was 11:00pm. The officier was concerned about my safety and offered me a ride home, which was at the other end of the island. I gratefully took the offer, even though I have borrowed $20 from my friends. Can't afford to be anymore poorer.

11.30pm
The police car had left and I was finally standing in front of my house. However, it came to me that I cannot enter withoutmy keys. This is hilarious. It was close to mid-night then. I started laughing in front of my door step. Hahaz...hungey and tired, I fell asleep at my doorstep....

7am
Neither did I sleep nor wake up well. Waited for my neighbour to wake up but found that my neighbor is not inside. Dunno where they disappeared to. Most probably overseas. Ok, great, I dunno anyone else around the neighborhood already. I decided to get my ez-link card done first so at least I can move around Singapore for help.

9am
Took a Taxi to Yishun which cost me $7.80. Got to the counter where I was told they no long provide card replacement service. I almost vomited when I was informed, just that I had an empty stomach. Got to know the nearest card replacement services are at Sembawang or Chua Chu Kang. Great. Since Sembawang station is only a stop away from Yishun, I walked.

11am
I arrived in Sembawang station under the warm morning sunshine. Found the card replacement counter and I presented my documents. He took those documents in and told me to come back tml. Why? There was an island-wide system break down. I took my documents back so that I can get my ez-link card replaced the folowing day at Chua Chu Kang. Went into the Sun Plaza nearby and had my meal, wondering where I should go now.

12pm
I decided to rest in Sun Plaza for the afternoon. Went in Sembawang library at the top floor and tried to studied for Prelim using library books. Maybe I tried too hard. Haiz....

5pm
Started walking back to Chua Chu Kang. $8 is bearly enough to take Taxi back.

9pm
I was back at my house. Found some scrap metal at the construction site below my house. After 1 hour of effort, I broke into my house. Hooray! (Need to buy new lock). Now I can shower and I have a bit more $$. And I have a bed to sleep.

8am
Woke up and walked to Chua Chu Kang station. Chained my door up with a bicycle lock.

9am
I got my ez-link card replaced FINALLY. And I happily took LRT back home.

10am
I was back at my house. Collapsed on the ground....
